Suspect arrested in Babonneau man’s death

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a Babonneau man who died Wednesday.

Reports are that  Eli Mathurin, 37, was severely beaten by the alleged suspect which led to his demise.

The incident reportedly occurred sometime around 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016.

Following the incident, Mathurin was taken to hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed.

The alleged suspect is said to be in his mid 30’s.

Investigations are continuing.
