PRESS RELEASE – What do you get when you combine the hottest Saint Lucian label with the ultimate best deal in after work liming – “Friday on the Rocks” of course.

Saint Lucian music label Stratosphere Muzic, home to eight artistes including reigning Groovy and Power Soca Monarch as well as Road March King Ricky T, Mongstar, Marie-Anne and the lone female to ever be crowned Road March Queen Nicole David has teamed up with the “two for one” best drinks special spot in Rodney Bay. The result, “Friday on the Rocks” will be held at the end of every workweek until Friday, July 4, 2014.

“Friday on the Rocks” began on April 25. Held at Jammerz at Happy Day Bar, the premise is 11 Fridays, 11 themes and 11 artistes. Every week a different soca artiste performing a repertoire of music will be featured alongside other artistes, a specially-designed weekly cocktail and other drinks specials.

This Friday, May 3, artiste features will kick off with Ricky T performing a retrospective of his career to date. Fans will get a rare opportunity to see Tizzle go all the way back to “Container” (2006) and end with his latest release “More Rum” (2014) with everything in between including “Pressure Boom” (2007), “Like A Jumbie” (2009), “Indian Girl” (2011), “Mosquito” (2012) and “40 Days 40 Nights” (2013).

Launched just in time for Saint Lucia Carnival 2014, what has been described as the “ultimate after work lime” where patrons are encouraged to “be your own boss”, “Friday on the Rocks” will also feature costume bands including Just 4 Fun and Royalites Extreme as well as live jam bands.

The sponsors of “Friday on the Rocks” are Digicel, Chairmans Spice, Piton Beer, Strongbow, Document Centre Limited and the Just 4 Fun and Royalites Extreme Carnival Bands.

Stratosphere Muzic CEO Courtney “Curty” Louis says “Friday on the Rocks” will start and keep the Lucian Carnival vibe.

“We conceptualised this event to showcase everything that makes Carnival great including music, artistes, food, drinks and liming. With “Friday on the Rocks” you get live performances, great parking in a real chill spot and drinks specials designed to ensure an ideal wind down after work.”

  4. @letsbehonest.... Happy Day is a much safer venue. Has been incident free for the last few years. Don't let that prevent you from enjoying yourself.
