Stephenson King to act as PM while Chastanet attend OECS meeting

(SNO) — Minister for Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour Stephenson King will be acting prime minister while Allen Chastanet attends a s Special Meeting of the OECS Authority and the Accession of Guadeloupe to the OECS.

Chastanet is presently in Guadeloupe for the meeting which is being held from March 14 to 15.

The accession of Guadeloupe to the OECS comes four years after Martinique did the same.

It will take place with the signing of an agreement during the opening ceremony for the Special Meeting of the Authority on March 14th.

In addition to the signing of the agreement, the opening ceremony for the Special Meeting will involve speeches by the director general of the Organisation, the newly elected Premier of the British Virgin Islands Andre Fahie, the president of the Regional Council of Guadeloupe and the Chairman of the OECS Authority.
