Stay over arrivals sees general increase over previous year, final half however shows slight decline

pigeon-island-and-beachThe tourist stop over arrival figures for eleven months of 2015 are in and they show mixed results with a general increase across most months.

Figures for the first half of 2015  helped to prop up an otherwise lagging second half which saw three out of the five months for that period falling below their corresponding 2014 results. Total visitor arrivals however was up 2.6% with total visitor arrival reaching 312,761, a 8,013 increase over previous year’s 304,748.

As per other results most of the arrivals were from the US and UK with a large minority consisting of Caribbean visitors.

Rodney Bay Marina saw a decrease in Yacht arrivals with a drop from 34,158 in 2014 to 28,109, a decrease of 17.7%.

  1. Chastanet mouth close on tourism... The number have been so great without a guru paid at a high price..

    He Chastanet claim he had all the answers to the industry.

    I recall how he bad mouth Kenny when Lorne was awarded the Ministry.

    Today and the last four years the tourism number have been up and up and up ... You don't hear him say a thing..

    This guy is just all over the place looking for political points that are not available...
