  1. I have family stranded there since December 24th. Anyone have any idea when flights will resume back to Canada?? I'm worried about them!

  2. Thank God for the George F.L Charles airport, that our crazy Ministers/Politicians are trying trying their best to shut down. smh.

I hope the crazies, LEAVE OUR AIRPORTS ALONE.

  3. Every storm Hewanorra Intl. Airport is in the same situation, when will SLASPA solve this problem once and for all. Worse yet George Charles airport which its closure is being debated, is the one always up and running. Whilst we are at it, any word on the Virgin Aircraft at Hewanorra?

  4. Up to the time this report was posted, the Hewanorra airport was still in a mess. The baggage hall was untouched. The airline workers worked hard to get their offices in order and that was difficult. The SLASPA management staff were scarce(understood they left at 4pm). lots of openings in the perimeter fence. The afternoon shift of the airport cleaner did not report to work. Cleaning were some port policemen, emigration officers Customs officers and the Car rental and cleaning their offices.
