St. Lucians participate in Latin-American and Caribbean Festival in Taiwan

(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – On Saturday February 24th 2018, members of the Association of St. Lucian Students in Taiwan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Saint Lucia, ROC, Taiwan participated in the annual “Taipei Carnaval-Latin-American and Caribbean Festival”.

The event was organized by the Latin Cultural Community in Taiwan in cooperation with the Taipei City Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). An exhibition of local crafts and other cultural items from St. Lucia were put on display. In addition, visitors got the opportunity to taste some local St. Lucian cuisine, such as dumplings with cocoa tea, chicken roti, bake and cheese, and pemi.

Public Relations Officer of the Association of St. Lucian Students in Taiwan, Ms. Lynn Francis shared some light on the event, “The atmosphere was very lively and the food we prepared was very well received by the Taiwanese public. It was indeed a wonderful opportunity to share our culture and cuisine with not only the Taiwanese public but also the Latin community here in Taiwan”. The festival is one of many held in Taiwan which promotes cultural exchange and gives St. Lucians the opportunity to serve as cultural ambassadors.

I feel good.....Thanks Taiwan Taipei......Thanks Latin America.....Wow,Wonderful....Why You'll dont Keep it in St.Lucia.......Lets join our Cultures Together St.Lucia, Taiwan and Latin America.....I would love to see,these 3 Cultures merge.....Right in St.Lucia....Lets see what it would be.....
