



A Saint Lucian national has been selected to represent the University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus in the prestigious 10 day Germany Student Exchange Program.
Tameeka Jn Baptiste a past student of the Castries Comprehensive School, who hails from Babonneau will participate in the “Sustainable Tourism Program” at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Germany.
Tameeka Jn Baptiste, who is second year student at UWI, has been selected among eight others who are third year and master degree students. The group will be accompanied by Dr. Leslie-Ann Jordan- Miller.
The main purpose of the exchange program is to expand students’ knowledge on sustainable tourism. The students will participate in outdoor sessions and gain both theory and practical information.
At the conclusion of the program, the students will spend an additional four days exploring France and Switzerland.
They are expected to depart Trinidad on August 3, 2015 and return on August 18, 2015.
