While not yet securing a premier spot in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, Saint Lucian swimmer Jordan Augier’s performance in the 100 metre back has made him a new national record holder.

Commonwealth swimming results show that he placed 21 out of 33 in that race but nevertheless was able to set the national record with a time of 59.36 seconds.

His fellow swimmer, St. Lucian Joshua Runako Daniel did the 50m fly in 26.04 seconds, placing him 27 out of 50 athletes.

The athletes have no meets tomorrow however on Saturday Jordan will compete in the 50m back and Runako in the 100m free.

    • He is the best in Saint Lucia home and a big loser outside. The very opposite is true of a certain prime minister. No names need to be mentioned.
