St. Lucian boxers head to Trinidad for Boxing card

PRESS RELEASE – Two St. Lucian Boxers and one official will leave the island on Monday January 11th for Trinidad and Tobago where they will participate in a Boxing card being put on by the Trinidad and Tobago Boxing Association.

The event being held on the evening of Tuesday January 12th is being organized  by the Trinidadian Boxing Authorities to fine tune preparations and to get their Boxers in a state of readiness for the Final Rio Olympic Games Boxing Qualifier to be held in Argentina March 9th to the 20th.

The boxers making the trip to Trinidad for the card are 2014 and 2015 Boxer of the year 69kg Welterweight Lyndell “the Russian” Marcellin and 75kg Middleweight Arthur “the lionheart” Langelier. They will be accompanied to Trinidad by Coach Conrad Fredericks.

Langelier and Marcellin along with a yet to be named overseas based boxer have been earmarked by Local Boxing Authorities to participate in the final American Boxing Confederation Qualifier for the Olympic Games to be held in Argentina in March.
