(GIS) – The Department of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs will host a 9 a.m. press briefing on the launch of the online trade license application process, this week.
The department has embarked on a number of initiatives aimed at improving the business environment. One of these initiatives is the trade license reform.
This reform comes in three phases: the first is the online processing of the trade license application, the second phase includes a review and update of the Trade License Act, and the third phase is a review of the areas reserved for nationals.
The online application process was created due to the challenges encountered by business persons seeking to invest in the local economy, and is an initiative of the department as it endeavors to improve the investment environment.
The press briefing on the launch of the online Trade License application process, will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, on the fifth floor of the Finance Administrative Center, Pointe Seraphine.
