Saint Lucia has been identified as the host country for the 2014 Biennial Conference with the St. Lucia Nurses’ Association having responsibility for the planning and organization of the prestigious event.
This Conference is expected to attract over 300 participants throughout the Caribbean, including the USA and Canada. The conference runs from October 25th – November 1st, 2014.
The theme for the conference is “Nursing and Midwifery: Integrating Knowledge, Skills and Attitude for Delivery of Safe Quality Patient Care.” The Biennial Conference of the Caribbean Nurses’ Organization (CNO) provides a forum for nurses from member countries to meet, discuss and conduct the business of the organization every two years.
This includes but is not limited to:
* The business sessions of CNO Educational sessions for nurses which are regarded as Continuing Education Hours, also used for nursing re-licensure
* An opportunity for nurses from member countries to socialize and share experiences with each other.
* The Biennial Educational and Business Conference provide members with evidenced based knowledge on current trends in nursing and healthcare. Nurses are better equipped with pertinent information to help improve the quality of care extended to our clients whilst working towards optimum health for all.
* The CNO provides a forum for nurses from over 33 member courtiers to socialize and share experiences through educational and business sessions, institutional visits and organized tours of the island.
