St Lucia Teachers’ Union celebrates 80 years

PRESS RELEASE – As Part of the 80th anniversary celebrations the St Lucia Teachers’ Union will be hosting a series of activities which include a grand gospel concert on under the patronage of Hon. Robert Lewis Minister of Education and Labour on Sunday 28th September, from 6:30 p.m. at the National Cultural Centre.

The headliner, Jerry Lloyd of Dominica, a renowned gospel singer and teacher by profession arrived in St Lucia yesterday. Among the other artistes due to perform are Nintus Magre, Shirley Ann Cyril- Mayers, Mountain Movers, Voices of Praise and many other teachers.

This will then be followed by a series of activities to commemorate International Teachers Day on October 5th.
