Yes, E-sport embassadors. These 9 young men are only a hanful of hopeful regional competitors,complimented by 16 Barbadian rivals to arrive on the island, for St. Lucia’s first all out Gaming competion and electronic Expo.
November 20th through the 22nd marks the 9th annual video game competiton hosted by the Saucekrew – “Saucekon – Radikal Rebellion”. Regional visitors and local competitors will register and compete during the weekend at the Johnson’s Centre in Rodney Bay, for thousands of dollars cash and sponsored prizes.
International guests from the USA will also be flying into the country to enjoy St. Lucia’s sun and surf, night life, and healthy gaming competition that this E-sport tournament will offer.
Games ranging From Fifa, to Street Fighter 4, Call of Duty and even Nintendo’s Smash Brothers will be available for play. There are other games attached with cash prizes just waiting to be won.
This year, Saucekon will also feature, cosplay pagents, Energetic Dance Games, Art exhibits, a Car show, and other side attractions.
The Saucekrew aims to show St. Lucia that the gaming industry is very much alive an active locally and regionally, and has much to offer to the youth in terms of opportunity for travel and creating positive regional and international networks. Consistent training and gaming skill is to be admired and rewarded, and video game players are nothing short of masterminds of hand eye co-ordination and dexterity.

Final registrations for combatants is today and can be done at the Johnsons Centre as doors open from 3pm Friday.
