St. Lucia highlighted in international media

St. Lucia was recently featured in at least three major international media outlets.

US-based, in an article dubbed “Taking the Kids to the Caribbean in Summer” and penned by Eileen Ogintz, made mention of the various accommodation options on the island, in particular, the Cape Maison villa resort.  The article spoke of special deals which are being offered to visitors and increased air service to the island for the summer. It was published on June 7, 2013.

Meanwhile, the Recommended magazine, in its June Issue, classified St Lucia as “Beach Blanket Bliss,” naming it one of the top five Caribbean honeymoon destinations. The Anse Chatanet, Jade Mountain and Ladera were also cited as some of the most unique Caribbean resorts.

The island came into even more focus in The Vogue magazine’s May issue through Creative Director for the Garage magazine, Shala Monroque, as she published a documentary of her trip to St Lucia in anticipation of World Oceans Day on June 8.

That publication featured numerous images of local scenery and other elements. It also brought accommodations such as the Sugar Beach, a Viceroy resort, into focus.  The piece was entitled “Blue Crush: Shala Monroque’s St. Lucia Travel Diary in Support of World Oceans Day.”
