St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce to offer social media management course


PRESS RELEASE – The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture, in conjunction with the St. Lucia Youth Business Trust, is offering to micro, small and medium sized enterprises a Social Media Management course; another installment under the “Mind Your Business” Development Series.

The Mind Your Business development series seeks to provide practical business knowledge and management skills aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of entrepreneurs and their support team. The program, through a series of practical guidance workshops, delivered by practicing professionals and industry experts, delivers skills that participants can apply immediately to their business.

The objective of the Social Media Management course is to provide an understanding of the various social media platforms and ways to market a business more cost effectively utilizing social networking.

The course will be facilitated by Mr. Leslie Collymore; Founder and Managing Director of Advanced Intellectual Methods (A.I.M), which offers e-marketing, research and web solutions. The course is designed to be relevant, educational, fun and practical.

This course duration is 8 contact hours and will be held on the 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th of September, 2015 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture’s conference room, 2nd floor of the American Drywall Building, Vide Boutielle, Castries.

  1. Ah, I see now. The chamber now realizes that youth no longer wait or sit around for work but instead, market their businesses and products online via popular social media like Facebook. Yes, their ambitious mindsets have led them to create various online groups that showcase their items. Good initiative CHAMBER, but our youth beat you to it, just like the SDA beat GOVT to the suicide support line
