PRESS RELEASE – The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) wishes to advise of actions and schedule for communities in the Southern part of the island, for today Tuesday,3 May 2016.
-Main Canaries Primary System: High Turbidity
-Anse la Verdue: In operation
-Ruby: In operation (NB: Flows have decreased at intake. Valving schedule: 7:00am – 1:00pm schools, lower parts of Fond Berniere, Palmiste and New Development areas; 1:00pm – 5:00pm Upper Palmiste, New Development, Fond Berniere and parts of Cressland; 10:00pm – 5:00am Anse Chastenant).
– Fond St. Jacques 1: In operation; due to extremely low flows tank is taking too long to fill, as a result crew will continue with valving to supply water to customers. (Valving schedule: 8:00am – 4:00pm Zenon and Cressland; 4:00pm – 8:00am Ravine Claire, St Phillip and Migny).

*Bouton: In operation (Low flows at Intake).

-Saltibus Upper: In operation (NB: Slight increase in flows at intake).

VIEUX FORT SYSTEM
-Grace: High turbidity
-Beausejour: Clogged intake; works are currently being done
-Micoud Primary system: Low pressure; caretaker investigating
-Patience: In operation
-Belle Vue: In operation. (NB: Slight increase in flows at intake; no valving being done) Roadworks interrupting water supply to customers at Pierrot , Cacao, Vigier and Morne Andrew
-Desruisseaux: Low pressure; caretaker investigating
-Errard: In operation
-Thomazo: In operation (Slight increase in flow at intake)
-Aux Lyon: In operation; valving being done to supply areas with water (NB: Decrease in flows at intake)
-Derniere Riviere: In operation (NB: Flows have decreased at the intake).
All other communities are being served, whilst we will maintain the supply of water to the aforementioned areas, there may be inconsistencies due to demand or damages which may occur on the lines.
