PRESS RELEASE – The South Castries Youth & Sports Council is set to recognize students from seven different primary schools across the South and South East Castries basin.
The awards ceremony will celebrate the academic achievements of some of the best performers in the 2015 Common Entrance examinations.
The awards ceremony will take place at the conference room of the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports on Friday, September 4th 2015, from 10am to 11:30am.
As the umbrella organization for all youth and sports groups in South and South East Castries, the South Castries Youth & Sports Council seeks to highlight the achievements and positive strides of its members.
It is important to note that the council is an affiliate of St. Lucia’s National Youth Council (NYC), and as such, bears the stamp of approval of its parent body.
For the past two years the South Castries Youth & Sports Council has recognized and awarded students who have done exceptionally well at the yearly common entrance examination.
To date, the council has recognized a total of 14 students and 7 primary schools in the South and Southeast Castries District. At this year’s awards ceremony, the following students and schools will be recognized and rewarded for their exceptional performance in the 2015 Common Entrance Exam.

The council remains committed to keeping this level of support active and viable. Moreover, it is the hope of the council that rewarding these students who have done exceedingly well in the 2015 Common Entrance Exam, will further encourage them and others to have the zeal to continue to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
In addition, the council seeks to highlight the increasing need for support provided to families, as the worsening financial climate has added increased burdens on St Lucian families.
The organizers of the awards ceremonies extends a warm invitation to parents, well-wishers, affiliates, supporters and members of the South Castries Youth and Sports Council.
