The Christmas Season is a time for giving and sharing. It is a time where everyone wants to feel joyful and apart of its cheer.

It is for this reason that the Soufriere Youth and Sports Council found it necessary to give back to the community and put some smiles on the faces of four families in the community.

Three of the families were from the town of Soufriere and one family from Fond St. Jacques. The families who were assisted was a single parent and her family, an elderly lady, a fire victim who recently lost most of her possessions and an elderly blind man from the community of Fond St. Jacques.

The executive of the Youth and Sports Council donated food hampers to each family.

The families who received the hampers were quite thankful for the assistance and appreciative of the assistance received.
