SLP to address issues in the north at town hall meeting

The Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) will seek to address issues of concern in the north of the island when it holds a town hall meeting in the area on July 20.

Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony and parliamentary representative Alvina Reynolds are among those who will be in attendance.

A press release states that the gathering is part of the SLP’s bid to “stimulate discussion around socio-economic activities in the constituency and address issues of concern to members of the public”.

“The party remains true to its mandate of adopting “a joint approach” to sustainable development in the country. It continues to strengthen its relationship with the people and continues dialogue on various ways to better the constituency and nation at large,” the release said.

The meeting will be held at the Babonneau Secondary School at 7 p.m.

  1. It appears that Saint Lucia is owned by the SLP government. Pure arrogance again! Better Days for their people only; they all own St Lucia. Don't worry the 5 years will be up soon, can't wait!

  2. Who the heck wrote this press release???? Babonneau is the north. I would think that the north of the island is Gros Islet. How about NOrthwest if you want to play on the word north.

  3. How ironic the headline read "The St. Lucia Labour Party" not the Government of St. Lucia./ How can this not be political? hmmmmm

  4. Please address the high cost of school books, and the plans for assisting parents who are in desperate need. Leave the politics out of the hall.

    • I find you are rude and out of place to say leave the politics alone. Why don't you say it to the other side.
