The Saint Lucia Labour Party now invites Chastanet to emulate the Saint Lucia Labour Party and answer the following questions at his planned UWP Rally on Sunday.
Firstly, since he was a member of the Task Force which was established to implement Operation Restore Confidence, what was his role and what instructions did the Task Force give to the Commissioner of Police?
Further, why did he travel to the US Embassy in Barbados recently and what did he seek to tell or find out from officials of the Embassy?
Secondly, how soon will he pay to the Government of Saint Lucia:
(a) The $38,644.00 which was taken from the Soufriere Town Council to assist him in financing the Third World performance in Soufriere for his political benefit?
(b) The $525.00 which he also used from the Soufriere Town Council to pay a caterer for meals given to his UWP agents during a workshop organized by the UWP Constituency Group in preparation for the 2011 General Elections?
Thirdly, what was his role and how much was spent on the construction of the Deville Bridge in Soufriere, which to this day stands as a useless “slab of concrete ” in the Deville river?
Fourthly, is it true that he said that placing boulders on a beach in the north to prevent locals from accessing a particular beach was justified?
The Saint Lucia Labour Party believes that it will also be an excellent opportunity to clarify where was he born and how many passports does he currently possess? More specifically, when he served as Minister of Tourism, which passports did he have in possession and which one did he use in his travels?
Knowing that the highest court in the OECS has ruled that Chastanet is a stranger to truth, the Saint Lucia Labour Party calls on Chastanet to please make an effort to answer these questions honestly.
