PRESS RELEASE- On Thursday July 10, 2014, the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) Project Assistant Wendel George represented the association at the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School’s Graduation (SCSS) held at Morne Coubaril Estate.
Two of the students who participated in the SLHTA’s Chef in Schools Cook-off Competition and who were crowned winners in the competition on Saturday February 22, 2014, Jana James and Shirliana Lamontagne were part of the 2014 SCSS graduating class.
The SLHTA’s top junior chefs received several subject awards including English Language, biology, food & nutrition, and Top Achiever Awards including SCSS Top Chef 2014 and SCSS Combination Cook Off Champion 2014.
Shirliana Lamontagne received Subject Awards for Excellent Academic Performance (Theory) in Food & Nutrition; Excellent Academic Performance in Biology and the Eldridge Thomas English Language Award.
Jana James received the Top Achiever Awards for SCSS Combination Cook Off Champion 2014 and SCSS Top Chef 2014.
