PRESS RELEASE – Victoria George is a young and vibrant individual from the community of Micoud on the east coast but currently residing at La Fayee/Caye Mange Monchy in Gros Islet. Victoria attended the Anse Ger Secondary School and went on to obtain her CVQ certification in General Office Administration at the National Skills Development Center.
She describes herself as being a very nice, warm and loving individual but a tad bit introverted. She has two beautiful daughters that she is very proud of, and she also “Loves” going to church.
Victoria found out about the programme from a friend who dropped off her application with the SLHTA. She admits that her experience in the program have been exciting and enhanced her knowledge base. Now that Victoria is employed full time with Hospitality Management Service, she is very excited about being part of the company. She has always wanted to work in an office environment and now that this has come to fruition, she is proud of herself.
She enjoys meeting people and her current post gives her the opportunity to share her new found knowledge and experiences with her clients and customers. Some of her duties include monitoring the work of other employees and liaising with clients to ensure the satisfaction of the work being done.
Some of her future aspirations include becoming an accountant and also pursuing a higher level of office administration certification. Victoria wishes to advise young people to continue pursuing their dreams and marketing themselves in an effort to become viable.
Ms. Victoria George is employed with Hospitality Management Services as the new Administrative Assistant/SPS Operations Clerk. Congratulations Victoria from the Management and Staff of the SLHTA!
Victoria is one of over 200 young people trained under the SLHTA Youth Apprenticeship Program in 2015. Many of them have received full time employment after completion of the training.
