SLFA Under 15 Girls Competition kicks off

005b976f-7b58-4017-a15b-6a6bdc569391PRESS RELEASE – The Saint Lucia Football Association National Girls Under 15 Championship kicked off on Sunday 14th February with games played in the Northern and Southern Zones.

The Northern Zone featured 1 game at the Corinth Playing Field featured Gros Islet vs Marchand.  At the end of the 1st half the score was 1-0 in favour of Gros Islet with a goal from Qiana Joseph in the 15th minutes.  

Marchand equalized in the 2nd half with a goal from Lianna Fraser in the 67th minutes.  Gros Islet however took the lead with a goal from Shamoya Manderson in the 55th minutes ending the game 2-1 in favour of Gros Islet Under 15 Girls.

The Southern Zone featured 1 game at the Augier Playing field with Soufriere vs laborie.  At the end of the game Soufriere won over Laborie 2-1.

The Saint Lucia Football Association invites everyone to support the Girls District Teams in this exciting Competition in an effort to continue the development of Women’s Football in Saint Lucia.  This championship will also serve to allow the association the means of selecting a national squad to compete in the upcoming CONCACAF Girls Championship.
