PRESS RELEASE – The Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) conducted its final Leadership workshop on Saturday 17th December for the 2016 season.
Throughout the past months. The SLFA undertook leadership workshops throughout the length and breadth of the island. These workshops were conducted on 2 levels.
The first was conducted for the Executive officers of each league. While the second was done for representatives of the clubs.
Among other things, the workshops dealt with the role and functioning of administrators, the role of CONCACAF and FIFA in helping to develop the sport, program planning, Club License.the transfer system as well as other procedural guidelines relating to Leagues and Clubs.
2017 is likely to be a real turning point for football in St. Lucia when the Club Licensing takes effect, as clubs which do not comply by December 31st 2016 or fail to reach certain requirements may face challenges in terms of participation in SLFA activities.
