Shooting incidents in Gros Islet and Castries

(SNO) – Two people sustained gunshot wounds in separate incidents in Bonne Terre, Gros Islet and Marc, Castries in the wee hours of Sunday, July 15, 2018, according to reports.

Law enforcement and emergency officials responded to the first incident at Marc, around 12:40 a.m. A male identified as C. Jacob, 33, of Marc, sustained gunshot wounds and was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition.

The second emergency call, for the Bonne Terre incident, was logged at 1:24 a.m. A male, identified as M. Augustin, 41, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was in stable condition.  He was reportedly transported by private vehicle to hospital.

The circumstances surrounding both incidents were not immediately available, but we will provide more information once it becomes available.
