(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – The Shamrock Sports Club junior footballers engaged their contemporaries from the Francis “Baba” Lastic Academy of Gros Islet on Saturday 9th June, at the Gros Islet playing field.

This encounter was used by the Shamrock Sports Club to continue with the developmental thrust of its youth football programme.

Though a total of 10 goals were scored in the encounter the focus from both camps was to ensure that the youngsters develop the love, passion and discipline for the game.

The Shamrock Sports Club thank coach Lastic for assisting with the logistical arrangements for the encounter.

The Club is grateful to the U.K coaches and their organization “United through Sports” who conduct weekly training sessions with the Shamrock youngsters.

A special thanks goes out to the parents and guardians who came out to support their sons, as well as the teachers of the Vide Boutielle Primary School.

Meanwhile, all members of the Shamrock Sports Club are invited to the Club’s AGM where a new executive will be elected. The meeting will be held at the conference room of the Department of Youth Development and Sports on Wednesday 13th June, from 5.00 p.m.
