PRESS RELEASE – Senior Licensing Officer at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport Mrs. Delicia Thomas proceeded on pre retirement leave in January 2016. To pay tribute to her 38 years of distinguished service to the people of St. Lucia, a retirement function was held to say thank you on Monday 28th December 2015.

In attendance were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport Hon. Philip J. Pierre, Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Ivor Daniel, Chief Transport Officer Ms. Lenita Joseph and other staff members of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport.

Deputy Permanent Secretary Ivor Daniel thanked Mrs. Thomas for her sterling contribution to the Transport Department at the Ministry of Infrastructure. He described her as an inspiration to her colleagues and wished her well in her future endeavours.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport commended Mrs. Thomas for her long and outstanding service to the people of St. Lucia. From everything he knew about her, she stood out as an exemplary worker who had considerable knowledge of the operations of the Transport Department.

Mrs. Delicia Thomas joined the Public Service in November 1977 and retires in 2016. She was first employed with the Ministry of Health, and in 2008 moved to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport.

    • What you're saying is irrelevant about government and gdp....I dont think there is any need for this womans retirement to be broadcasted....That ministry in a mess and I think there are much needed issues they need to focus on...like the condition of our roads which they claimed that a raise in registration fees on vehicles would alleviate...well again thats just the goverments BS...So who gives a blinds ass whose retiring....she'll be replaced by someone to do the same useless job anyway...
