Two persons sustained minor injuries during an accident this afternoon at Corinth, Gros Islet.
Reports are that two horses ran into the traffic, which led to a motorcyclist crashing into one of the animals.
The motorcyclist and his passenger were injured. The motorcycle was also damaged in the process.
Police officials told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that this is the second time in the past two weeks that a vehicular accident was caused by a horse running onto the highway.
A minor accident involving a motor vehicle and a horse occurred sometime last week, right at Corinth, opposite the playfield.
SNO understands that both the motorcyclist and the passenger in the accident today, received several abrasions and cuts . They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
An eyewitness said the motorcycle was travelling at a slow pace, at the time of the accident.
