Seajays Swim Club shine at Rodney Heights meet

img-20170409-wa0005PRESS RELEASE – The Seajays Swim Club is elated to announce its achievements at the 18th Rodney Heights Aquatic Center Invitational, which took place this past weekend at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Center.

With approximately 300 swimmers competing, the Seajays Swim Club walked away with a National Record being broken by Jayhan Odlum Smith in the 1500 free with a time of 17:36.25. This Record was last broken in 2005.

Six of the Nine National Age Group Records were broken by Seajays Club Swimmers namely Jayhan Odlum Smith breaking the 1500 Free, 400 Free, 50 back. Terrel Monplaisir breaking the 200 Back and 200 IM Records and Devin Boodha the 200 Breast.

The club recognizes superb performances from Nial Bergasse, Mya Peters, Sunshine Mauricette, Tristan Dorville, Angelina Habib, D’Andre Blanchard, James and Jonas Sylvester, Noah Dorville, Reggie Anselm and Carvarri Taylor as major contributors to the Clubs 2nd Place cherished moment.

Though entering with less swimmers as the 1st place winners Coaches Norm Barnfield and Brian Charles compliment their swimmers on a job well done.

The club looks forward to hosting its very own Karen Beaurean Meet July 8th and 9th 2017.
