Scholarship fund established for underprivileged high academic achievers

scholarshipPRESS RELEASE – The St. Lucia National Youth Council has partnered with the Ministry of Education, Human Resource and Labor to implement a Scholarship Fund.

The objective of this fund is to provide tertiary education opportunities for underprivileged high academic achievers throughout the various student council branches

. The Ministry has been a great partner by facilitating the provision of bursaries to secondary school students who will attend the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College in September 2015.

To be eligible for a bursary an applicant must be:

1. A citizen of Saint Lucia;

2. Accepted in a programme at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College;

3. Must be involved in a students’ council or youth organization

4. From a low income household.

The deadline for submission of completed Application Forms is Monday, 10th August, 2015.

  1. Not true for that one I got and I know many others who got scholarships to Morne Tech now SALCC. I know now persons there on scholarships it is only this one now from the NYC or through NYC. Let us stop playing who did and did not do, congrats NYC.

  2. This is the first time in St. Lucia's history that the underprivileged has been considered. In fact they have been systematically denied in the past. The initiators must be applauded.
