The parents of 18-year-old Romel Bonnett of Sans Souci, Castries are seeking the public’s assistance in locating their missing son.

Mother of the teen, Veronica Bonnett, told St. Lucia New Online (SNO) that it has been almost three days since she last saw her son. It is believed that the teen went missing sometime between 10 p.m on Sunday, July 20 and 6 a.m. Monday, July 21.

Veronica claims that she last saw Romel on Sunday evening at around 10 p.m. However, she only discovered he was missing on Monday morning.

The distraught woman said Romel left his keys and cellular phone behind. She is unaware of reasons surrounding his disappearance.

“There is no reason why he would leave home without informing anyone in the house,” she explained.

Veronica told SNO that contact was made with his friends and other relatives, but no one have seen or heard from him. She said Romel has blocked relatives from his Facebook page.

“I love him and I want him to come back home,” the woman pleaded.

Romel wrote examinations last month at the Sir Arthur Community College where he read for a diploma in business management.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Romel can contact relatives on 719-8555 or 719-8424 or the nearest police station. A missing person’s report was made with the police on Wednesday.

  2. Sometimes children don't understand why we as parents do the things we do. It looks like the young man wanted to enjoy the carnival and his mom did not approve so he left. He left ur home cause he feels that he is a man and he does not want to be bothered. Leave him alone. Remember the story of the prodigal son. He will come back let's hope its not in a casket.hurt it.
