(SNO) — Quetta Gladiators booked their place in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 final by securing a 10-run win over Peshawar Zalmi in the qualifier at National Stadium of Karachi on Wednesday.

 
Being sent into bat first, the Gladiators managed to score 186-6 in their 10 overs. In chase of 187-run target, Zalmi ended on 176-7.
 
With their team in a spot of bother at 90-5, West Indies batsmen Darren Sammy and Kieron Pollard (Sammy 46, Pollard 44) gave hope to Peshawar of salvaging a victory with their power hitting.

They put on put on an astonishing 36-ball 83-run partnership. Sammy, the last man out, needed just 21 balls and hit two fours and five sixes to amass his 46.

 
The journey is not over for Peshawar Zalmi as they will take on the winner of Thursday’s clash between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings for a place in the final.
