(PRESS RELEASE) — Local writer of children’s stories Dawn French has qualified for the second round of the 1st Annual Caribbean Literary Works Competition and she is calling on the public to help her get to the next round.
Based on the number of views and likes received from the public, final candidates will move into the finals.

She has entered with PEANUT AND THE PEN PAL, inspired by the true story of eight-year-old Hahnah’s battle with sickle cell anaemia. At stake is the grand prize of a publishing contract, a USD$5,000 advance, and royalties from books being sold.
Ten participants, Dawn included, have been chosen for week-long online promotion. Participants’ video submissions have been uploaded to the competition social media page for public votes at https://www.facebook.com/TheDucreayFoundation/
