PRESS RELEASE – The Government of Saint Lucia is expanding its business and tourism profile in the Middle East, with the establishment of the Office of the Honorary Consul in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Government has appointed Halla Walid Al Juffali as Honorary Consul based in Jeddah. Recently, Ms. Juffali undertook a tour of Saint Lucia and met with Government officials, major national institutions and government agencies to familiarise herself with business and life in Saint Lucia in preparation for her responsibilities as the representative of the Government of Saint Lucia in Saudi Arabia.

The Office of the Honorary Consul will commence operations on November 1, 2015. A major training workshop with travel agents in Saudi Arabia will be organised as the first activity of the Office. Other activities will include investment and business promotion.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest economies in the Middle East and is the largest producer and exporter of oil in the world. It is the only Arab country to be part of the G-20 major economies.

The establishment of the Office of Honorary Consul comes at no cost to the Government of Saint Lucia.

  2. St. Lucia will be a great place for jihadis, Wahhabis salafists and Takfaris to enjoy, after months on the battlefield. They get a chance to enjoy sand between their toes. What a great brochure.

  5. Is this part of the scheme of CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT???
Of all the places in the world to set up such an Office, you are wasting time
in Saudi Arabia?? this is desperation indeed. Who ever came up with this
stupid idea? Saudis I believe if they have to invest, and many of their Princes
have already been and will continue to invest, in the United States, Europe and
in some Mediterranean Countries. But in St. Lucia, in your dreams maybe. Good
luck and good try, stop wasting Tax payers money, neither would they come here
    on vacation.

    • She is a daughter of former billionaire businessman Wahlid Juffali and his first wife. Wahlid Juffali was a member of a historically prominant Middle Eastern family and prior to his death was Chairman of the family company
