PRESS RELEASE – Five St. Lucians who represented themselves and St. Lucia in the recently held IslandMMTS Talent Conference have brought home 5 awards.

The awards were won by Anarcisse Alexander (1st Place in Monologue/Acting and 2nd Place in TV Commercial Acting); Cleopatra Jules (3rd Place in Solo Singing); Blue Ice Entertainment, led by Delia Louis (Best Island Audition & Best Parade of Nations).

Anarcisse was also placed in the top ten for actors while Cleopatra and Kazia Aurelien were placed in the top 10 for song writers . All Delegates including Andrea Antoine received offers for work and representation on the International Market.

” The experience was an eye opening one. The talents from the other islands and St. Lucia were breath taking. The opportunities that presented itself were broad and I hope to share some with St. Lucia.

The international scouts were hungry for new talent and were very interested in the Caribbean Style. It was very refreshing to see how serious the international market is about the performing arts and the possibilities of making a viable career from what most islanders see as just a hobby.

I do hope for the upcoming 2016 conference St. Lucia’s Delegates will get the assistance they need to be part of this game changing experience which the Caribbean is about to witness” Delia Louis, Manager- Blue Ice Entertainment and Regional Director to IslandMMTS.

IslandMMTS saw over 16 countries and islands represented, with over 200 delegates. There were over 20 scouts representing companies like, BET, MTV, Grammy Awards, Elite Models, Atlanta Records, SESAC and  AMTI to name a few. Kim Fields was also present to shed light on the Film and Television Industries and how important it is to be prepared. IslandMMTS is an annual event.
