(SLTA SCOOP) — In an effort to re-position Saint Lucia as a family destination of choice, the Saint Lucia Tourist Authority (SLTA) participated in the recent 3rd Annual Family Travel Advisory Forum which was held in Ocho Rios, Jamaica on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
The event was attended by Trade Sales Manager for the US, Richard Moss. It featured over 125 hand-picked family travel experts from the US and Canada.
Moss was also selected as a panelist at the first discussion of the day during the opening ceremony. This allowed Saint Lucia to be prominently highlighted as he set the tone for the discussion.
The event included numerous personal appointments, seminars and networking events.
“I appreciated the overall quality of the production and ‘hunger’ of the agents to deepen their expertise in positioning Saint Lucia to their families. It was an excellent learning opportunity for us as well to collect data on what clients are requesting and what trends are dominating family travel. This will clearly inform our strategies, sales tools and other output methods moving forward,” said Moss.
This feedback will be integrated in the SLTA’s future marketing plans and shared with our partners.
