(PRESS RELEASE) – The Royal St. Lucia Police and Allied Services Co-operative Credit Union joins the rest of the world in the observance of the 70th anniversary of International Credit Union day. International Credit Union day celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement and will be observed on October 18th 2018.
The day recognizes and reflects upon the credit union movement’s history, It is an occasion where The Police and Allied Services Credit recognises the tremendous contribution that it has made to the improvement of the social and economic fabric of our members daily living. Metaphorically, the Police credit union provides a shelter to its members when it rains and creates at bridge to financial wellness.
The Police Credit Union provide access to affordable financial services to all their members including those that would commonly be considered as being financially disadvantaged. The credit union ensures that necessary financial counselling is provided in the process to enable members to manage their financial wellness, the tools and the opportunities to be financially self-sufficient. Making life choices and dreams a reality is the credit union difference which impacts our world.
The Police and Allied Services Credit Union takes this platinum opportunity to present the official launching of its new website as well as the opening of its Christmas Loans facility. Additionally the credit union will engage all its members in an open day on October 18th from 10:00am. The observance continues with a credit union road show on October 24th and the hosting of the Credit Union’s Annual General Meeting on October 31st.
