Rovers confirmed as Mabouya Valley kings

(SNO) – In the ongoing GK EC Global / Mabouya Valley Under-18 tournament on Tuesday Aux-Lyons Utd and the defending champions Togetherness Youth played to a goalless draw, while on Thursday R.Y.O. comprehensively defeated Chesters 4-0,

Later in the evening, in the 2018 Mabouya Valley Football League Promotional League final, Rovers Unitetd reassured everyone that they remain the true monarchs of Mabouya Football, when they edged Monarch Sports Club 3-2 in a penalty shoot out after a 1-1 regulation draw.

Gayle Emmanuel #15 gave the defending champions Rovers United the lead in the 20th minute, which 9 minutes later that advantage was cancelled by an equaliser from Jermiel Antoine #14 of Monarch in the 29th minute. That scoreline held till the final whistle.

Tuesday’s victory assured Rovers United successfully defended their 2017 Promotional League title, making it 4 consecutive domestic senior titles for them. Their next test is the SLFA’s President’s Cup as they seek a spot in next year’s First Division.
