This time around, the company has done so by providing the chef, who currently serves as Saint Lucia’s culinary ambassador, with kitchen utensils and equipment as she held a cooking demonstration at Sandals Grande Beach Resort and Spa recently.
Chef Nina’s recent cooking demonstration was organized by the Saint Lucia Tourist Board which held its second annual “Love Elevated Wedding Symposium” in Saint Lucia from September 24-27.
Close to 60 travel agents from the United States, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean attended the event.
Managing Director of RJB Hotel Supplies, Rick Barnard, says his company is always ready and willing to work with the internationally-renowned chef.
He says he is pleased that the working relationship that started when the company provided kitchen utensils for the chef’s cooking demonstration at this year’s Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival continues to blossom.
“We’re always very grateful and excited when we get the opportunity to work with her,” Barnard says.
“Not just because of her obvious talents as a chef, but especially because of her being a great ambassador for the island. She serves as a tremendous representative for the island and a role model for anyone wanting to get into the culinary arts.”
As a company that deals in retailing top quality internationally-recognized brands of culinary utensils to the local market, Barnard says the company’s commitment to providing assistance to such events comes naturally.
“For us at RJB, it’s really a privilege to be able to participate, because we feel like we’re playing a small part to help build that local culinary talent. So we’re pleased with any opportunity to work with Chef Nina or any event that helps to hone that skill,” Barnard says.
For use in Chef Nina’s cooking demonstration at the recent wedding symposium, RJB provided stainless steel food prep tables, portable butane stoves, stainless steel utensils, and non-stick frying pans.
