Parliamentary representative for Micoud North, Dr. Gale Rigobert met with residents of Mon Repos and environs to discuss, among other things, the deplorable state of the roads in the constituency.
Dr. Rigobert lamented that notwithstanding her call for intervention by the government agencies to bring some relief to constituents, the government seems tardy in rehabilitating the roads.
Therefore, MP and constituents have decided to host a koudmein, a self-help project, to temporarily repair the potholes beginning this Saturday in Mon Repos.
Dr. Rigobert invites all constituents and residents to come with their shovels and assist with blocking the potholes, so that motorists and pedestrians alike can get some relief.
The Micoud North MP is continuing to play a leading role in convening constituency meetings and activities to address issues that affect residents.
Dr. Rigobert hosts an annual netball competition in her name and most recently partnered with both the public and private sector to host a career fair. Last weekend she initiated a community meeting with the RSLPF/Micoud Police station which was held at the Patience Combined school.
