Resumption of specialty clinics in primary care

(PRESS RELEASE) – The Primary Health Care Unit in the Ministry of Health & Wellness informs the public that Specialty Clinics will resume effective Monday, April 27, 2020.

These clinics include:

• Dermatology
• Paediatrics
• Obstetrics/Gynecology
• Podiatry
• Diabetic Retinopathy
• Sexual & Reproductive Health: Castries

Adjustments have been made to the Dermatology & Sexual Reproductive Health Clinic schedules in some regions.

Until further notice, please note the following:

• Dermatology
▪ The clinic at Gros-Islet Polyclinic has been redirected to the Grande Riviere Wellness Centre on Mondays from 8 a.m.
▪ Dermatology Clinic at Castries Wellness Center on Wednesdays from 8 a.m.

• Sexual & Reproductive Health
▪ Castries Wellness Center

Wednesdays – 12:30 to 4:00 pm
Fridays – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

In light of the COVID-19 infection prevention and control protocol and in an effort to practice social distancing, clients are encouraged to call for appointments for specialty clinics.

The public is also informed that the Cuban Eye Clinic has NOT resumed because Victoria Hospital is being used as the Respiratory Hospital. The Ministry apologises for the any inconvenience caused.

The Ministry continues to monitor the national COVID-19 situation and will inform the public of any adjustments made to the service delivery in primary care.
