football-boots1PRESS RELEASE – The Gros Islet Football League District Representative and St. Lucia National Lottery Invitational Football Tournament continued on Sunday 15th November with the first two Quarter Finals games featuring Beausejour FC vs Windjammer and Super J Northern United A vs Monchy.

The 1st Quarter Finals game saw Beausejour FC taking the lead in the 1st half with a goal from Zaccheus Jones in the 31st minutes ending the 1st half 1-0.  The 2nd half saw another goal from Zaccheus Jones in the 61st minutes and Kenwin Mc Fee in the 71st minutes.  Windjammer got a goal from Kammel Dorleon in the 78th minutes ending the game 3-1 in favour of Beausejour FC.

The 2nd Quarter Finals game saw Super J Northern United A taking the lead in the 1st half of the game with a goal from Daniel David in the 10th minutes and Elijah Louis in the 12th and 44th minutes and Troy Greenidge in the 15th minutes ending the 1st half 4-0.  The 2nd half saw more goals for Super J Northern United A from Troy Greenidge with in the 65th and 80th minutes giving him a Hat Trick and Veto Lawrence in the 90th minutes ending the game 7-0 in favour of Super J Northern United A.    

The competition now moves into the next round of Quarter Finals on Monday 16th November with the 1st featuring Super J Northern United B vs Dominators Youths at 5.00 p.m and the 2nd game featuring GMC United vs Glace GMC at 7.00 p.m.
