football1PRESS RELEASE – The Last Round of matches of the President’s Cup Club Championship started on Wednesday 9th December at the Soufriere Stadium featuring two games with RV Juniors vs Survivals FC at 5.30 p.m. and Ciceron Seagulls vs Rovers United at 8.00 p.m.

The 1st game started with RV Juniors vs Survivals FC.  The 1st half saw Survivals FC taking the lead with a goal from Cassie Octalien in the 3rd minutes.  No more goals were scored ending the 1st half 1-0.

The 2nd half saw RV Juniors equalizing with a goal from Ernil Elevthere in the 62nd minutes ending the game 1-1.

The 2nd game featured Ciceron Seagulls vs Rover United.  The 1st half saw Ciceron Seagulls taking the lead with a goal from Johanthan Alfred in the 13th minutes.  Rovers United however equalized and took the lead with goals from Harold Nicholas in the 16th minutes, Kennil Polius in the 44th minutes and Harold Nicholas in the 45th minutes ending the 1st half 3-1.

The 2nd half saw another goal from Ciceron Seagulls from Darran Joseph in the 85th minutes but no more goals were scored ending the game 3-2 in favor of Rovers United.

The President’s Cup Club Championship will continue on Saturday 12th December at the Soufriere Stadium with the 1st game featuring Super J Northern United vs Young Roots at 6.00 p.m. and the 2nd game featuring Big Players vs Platinum FC at 8.30 p.m.

The Saint Lucia Football Association invites everyone to support the clubs in this exciting championship.
