football1PRESS RELEASE – The St. Lucia Football Association President’s Cup Club Championship’s Round Eight matches were played on Wednesday 2nd December with two games at the Soufriere Stadium with the 1st game featuring Young Roots vs Survival FC and the 2nd game featuring Platinum FC vs Rovers United.

The 1st match saw Young Roots taking the lead in the 1st half with goals from Grant Phillip in the 17th and Kevin Myers in the 32nd minutes ending the 1st half 2-0.  

The 2nd half saw a another goal for Young Roots from Alvinus Myers in the 51st minutes giving Young Roots the win over Survival FC at the end of the game 3-0.

The 2nd match featured Platinum FC vs Rovers United saw Platinum FC taking the lead in the 1st half with a goal from Jamil Joseph in the 7th minutes. No more goals were scored throughout the game giving Platinum FC a 1-0 win over Rovers United.

The Last Round of matches of the President’s Cup Club Championship featuring the four losers in the round of eight will take place on Wednesday 9th December at the Soufriere Stadium featuring two games with RV Juniors vs Survivals FC at 5.30 p.m. and Ciceron FC vs Rovers United at 8.00 p.m.

Whereas the Last Round of matches of the President’s Cup Championship featuring the four winners in the round of eight President’s Cup Club Championship will take place on Sunday 13th December at the Soufriere Stadium with the 1st game featuring Super J Northern United vs Young Roots at 6.00 p.m. and the 2nd game featuring Big Players vs Platinum FC at 8.30 p.m.
