    1. Stand on a long line in the sun – no distancing – for 5+ hours to get the new Republic Card
    2. The card can only be used currently to retrieve money from the ATM
    3. Stand on a line in the sun – no distancing – for 1 hour to retrieve money from the ATM
This is just an absolute nightmare .
That press release ought to have stated what ADDITIONAL MEASURES are being implemented to alleviated the long wait on the line and get the system up and running fully by today !
Try this in a developed country and see what would’ve been the outcome – heads would roll – clearly this transition was poorly managed – it is unacceptable !

Stacey Roodrigez, I am with you on that. It is very unacceptable that customers can be treated with such disdain like this.

Totally unacceptable. Staff very unhelpful no public relations at all. Spent 4 hours in the queue and only for the card not to work. What a joke. Time to try other banks I guess.

I want to know if the cards don’t work on US sites because you are a Trinidadian bank and you have no access to the US market.
Republic you have failed me., I never had an issue, ever with Scotia bank. All my subscriptions and security services are tied to that card. You gave a number, no one answers or replies to Whatsapp or normal calls.
You owe st. Lucians, pay us for your mistakes in cash, no BS crap.

all I have to say is that I left that bank. that apology is an insult to the customers.
