3402d0c8-4421-405b-85ef-38c0bd1e3135PRESS RELEASE – Raise Your Voice St. Lucia Inc, in its continuing efforts to raise public awareness on issues that affect women and children, will stage a series of town hall meetings across the Island, to coincide with the annual celebration of International Women’s Day on 8th March each year.

The meetings will share important information with women on topics such as Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Health & Safety, Child Support, Common Law Relationships, Succession, Divorce, Job Application Preparation, Preparing and Dressing for Job Interviews and how to access critical services within the public sector.

According to President Esther Greene-Ernest “While we will be imparting knowledge, an important component of our town hall meetings, is to obtain information from women on the critical issues which impact them, so they may be advised on the most appropriate course of action to bring about resolution to these issues in the most efficient and effective manner. We will therefore be encouraging frank and open discussion among all participants.”

To this end we invite all women from Dennery and Micoud to attend the first town hall meeting on Friday 29th, January at the Micoud Multi Purpose Center from 6:00 pm. Babysitting services and snacks will be provided for children of participants.
