At the time of posting this article, police were still trying to formally ascertain the identity of one of the three men gunned down in a wooden house in Bruceville, Vieux Fort early Saturday morning, according to law enforcement sources.
They have so far formally identified two of the men: David Raymond, aka Pumpkin of Bruceville, Vieux Fort, and Allan Norbert, aka Reese of Ti Rocher, Micoud. Norbert is believed to be in his 20s.
The third victim remains unknown.
The men were shot to death around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 by gunmen who shouted “police” before entering the house, according to police sources and residents.
A female occupant was not harmed in the attack, according to sources.
Investigators and residents believe the killings may have been gang related or a reprisal.
A man was reportedly shot and injured in the same area around 10 p.m. the day before the triple homicide.
Police have not formally linked the shooting to the killings.
