The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has been contacted to conduct air quality tests, while the Department of Environmental Health was called in to inspect the Police Traffic Department in Castries.
The building has been reportedly infested with mold and bugs, President of the Police Welfare Association (PWA), Camron Laure has disclosed.
Laure said this may cause some slight delays at the Department, as the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is working to find a suitable place for relocation, until the issue is addressed.
But mold and termite infestation is nothing new to Saint Lucia. Over the past several years, there have been numerous reports of these cases at schools, hospitals, public buildings and even most recently the court.
