  3. Totally agree with you save our souls we need to know ur kids sit and read and talk to our kids be a constant figure in their lives before they think of ding anything wrong they would think of the respect you have for them before doing anything. And yes we need to discipline our kids there are many ways of doing so and I thing some of those young parents need to put those kids in so extra curricular activities to get them occupied.

  4. IT IS TIME THAT WE CHANGE THIS CULTURE WE HAVE OF ENCOURAGING CRIME. ISN'T IT AGAINST THE LAW TO HAVE A MINOR WITHOUT THE PARENT'S PERMISSION? SO WHY DON'T THESE PERSONS WHO HAVE A MINOR AT THEIR HOUSE WITHOUT CONSENT GET JAIL TIME? If we feel that a child/minor will be in danger if we send them back home then the police should be involved in helping that child. The law will take it from there.

  5. The parent of the friend is quite irresponsible. You have someone's child living at your home for so long and u never bothered contact the child's parent!!!! Shame...I'd be calling the first day...did u agree for Joshua to stay over.....communicate ppl!!! Ask for Joshua, ure in form 3 ure old enough to know right from wrong..u have an argument with ur guardian and the first thing u do is run away....I'm sorry but you would be disciplined...ridiculous smh

  6. People : we need to understand that IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD... as long as i am a parent every single person in saint lucia is also a parent as it is ALL of OUR responsibility to ensure that child grows up right

having said that - some people are too quick to call our young princes criminal and stupid and all other derogatory names when they make a mistake.

we need to learn how to talk to our kids to help them and not react out of anger and/or fear and/or shame.....

    blessed love

  7. Why the comments are stupid? Yes parents need to sit and listen, try to understand how the child/Children feel maybe the child was wrong, yes you have to discipline but explain why

    • AS I CHILD GROW INTO THEIR TEENAGE YEARS , it's obvious that things are going to change.
you'll need to change your expectations
Teenagers deal with fear as a constant companion(STOP FIGHTING WITH THEM)
A place where they feel safe and protected, where they find love and acceptance ,steer your relationship with them in a positive direction.

Treat your child with honor and respect at all times. Constantly screaming at a child will damage their emotions and cause them to be insecure as adults
Discipline yourself to never belittle, mock or talk-down to your child. Respect their opinions and ask for them.

    • WE HAVE TO REMEMBER OUR DAYS , KIDS ARE NOT OBJETS , THEY HAVE FEELING LIKE US,
KIDS MAKE MISTAKES AND SOMETIMES ,THE SAME MISTAKE OVER AGAIN BUT, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THEM TO LEARN FROM THEM , I AM NOT SAYING THE CHILD NOR THE MOM IS RIGHT WITH WHAT EVER TRANSPIRED BETWEEN THEM.
MANY PEOPLE WRITE ABOUT BEATEN YOUNG FLAVIUS AN I'M SURE THAT THIS MOM ISNT THINKING ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW,AND IS ONLY PLEASE AND HAPPY TO KNOW THAT SHE HASN'T LOST HER SON... CAUSE IF IT WAS ME I WOULD JUST WANNA HOLE MY BABY AND TELL HIM HOW MUCH I LOVE HIM AND THAT I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT HIM

      • since when running away from
m home is considered a mistake?? Really!! This young man needs some guava branch beatings on his skin. I wonder how many of you all "kids professionals" who actually have kids. There are times when you talk and times when you listen and times when you skin. This is a skin moment. This young man is old enough to know what he has done is not acceptable. The bible says spare the rod and spoil the child. With the mentality of these "so called professionals" no wonder there is so much youth crime, kids loitering after school and the list goes on. let us parent our kids and that doesn't only mean hugs and kisses but tough love when needed.

    • AND PEOPLE ASK WHY ST LUCIA IS FULL OF CRIME..THEIR ARE CERTAINLY GETTING SOME OF THOSE BAD BEHAVIOR AT HOME

    • ARE YOU FORGETTING THID CHILD RAN AWAY BECAUSE OF A DISAGREEMENT ? WHAT WOULD CUTTONG HIS ASS DO ?
WE HAVE TO SIT SOMETIMES WITH OUR KIDS TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AND HOW WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER.I SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT OR HOW THE CHILD IS FEELING .
WE NEED TO HEAR OUR KIDS OR THEY WILL JUST GO BEHIND OUR BACKS AND DO WRONG .
SO BEFORE YOU GO CUTTING ASSES ,SIT AND FIRST LISTEN TO WHAT HE OR SHE HAS TO SAY .

      • When has that ever work???What is the nature of the disagreement do you know? Could have been he was doing something wrong and he was disciplined. Please sit and think before u make you make these stupid statements.

        • REGARDLESS TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM GOOD OR BAD ..PARENTS SHOULD LISTEN AND TALK TO THEIR KIDS .YOU LIFE IN ST LUCIA AND SHOULD OR AWEAR THAT PERANTS USUALLY SCREAM OR SHOUT AFTER THEIR KIDS FOR DOING BAD THINGS. WITHOUT TAKING THE TIME TO TEACH AND "TALK" NOT AGREE OR SCARE THEIR KIDS. MY REMARK ISNT STUPID .IS NOT EVERYTIME A CHILD DO SOMETHING BAD ,THEY SHOULD BE BEATEN.
DISCIPLINED DOESN'T ONLY MEAN GETTING BEAT.
YOU ASK WHEN HAS THAT EVER WORKED ? IT WORKS ALOT AND DOING THAT YOU ALSO GETTING TO KNOW YOUR KIDS BETTER AND MAYBE LEARN SOMETHING.

    • My parents cut my ads repeatedly and I am a well brought up individual. We are too modernised and want to be our kids friends more than their parents. A 13 year old run away from home because of a dis agreement? Doesn't he know better? Can't he understand the consequences of his actions? Bring back some of the old days parenting! It worked. Buss his ass!!!

    • I GIVE YOU AN...F.. FOR YOUR COMMENT .WHAT KIND OF GROWN ASS PERSON ,ASSUMING YOU ARE GROWN ,CALLS A CHILD STUPID ? THAT IS ONE OF MANY REMARKS THAT HAVE KIDS THINKING THAT THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF ANYTHING.
THIS BOY NEEDS ATTENTION ,UNDERSTANDING ,GUIDANCE , HOPE HE GETS IT RIGHT AWAY.
GLAD TO KNOW THAT HE IS BACK HOME SAFE.
