Police officer arrested for hitting man with gun

A police officer who allegedly hit a Castries man in the head with his firearm has been arrested.

A police press release stated that 35-year-old Amrand James of City Gate, Castries suffered “facial paralysis after receiving a blow to the left ear area with a firearm by the police officer” on Friday, November 23, 2012 at about 3 am at City Gate, Castries.

The policeman was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 28 and will be charged for grievous bodily harm.

  1. I only hope this case goes somewhere and that justice is served. Isn't it strange how most of the time cops always seem to be goin after the people who do not deserve the brutality, but those who do commit the crime , get away free. without a scratch

  2. I wonder how far that case will go.These police officers like to take advantage of people.Three of them arrested my brother and beat him up just for buying a blackberry from a guy. Only to find out the blackberry belong to one of them girlfriend. That f*** justice system is just a joke to much damn police brutality in this country. Mr. Commissioner you need to wake up and make proper examples of your officers punish them when need be stop pushing things under the rug.You need to stop the crime take a closer look and you will see where these guys are getting the guns and drugs.

  3. arrested then what? lol the saint lucian justice system is a joke, i bet my last dollar thise cop is having a drink at a bar somewhere and this case will go nowhere.
